Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction while taking glycerin / witch hazel topical: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using glycerin and witch hazel topical and call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as:
bloody diarrhea; or
severe pain, bleeding, or irritation of the skin around your rectum.
Less serious side effects are more likely, and you may have none at all.
