Clinical Trial: Extramedullary Leukemia (EML) in Newly Diagnosed Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) is Underreported

Study Status: Recruiting
Recruit Status: Recruiting
Study Type: Interventional

Official Title: PET/CT and Whole Body Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in Newly Diagnosed Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)

Brief Summary: The goal of this clinical research study is to learn if positron emission tomography/ computed tomography (PET/CT) and whole body magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be used to detect extramedullary myeloid leukemia (EML). EML is a type of cancer found outside of the bone marrow and can be hard to detect with routine bone marrow monitoring, such as bone marrow aspirations.
